Owner & Trainer
Jill (Jauchius) McGrady

From her early beginnings with horses, at the age of 7, the skill and precision required of the show ring became Jill’s goal. She competed in the ‘A’ ring show circuit as a junior and was North West Horse Council year-end champion in her divisions for multiple years. She trained with Vicki Zacharias, and Don & Kathy Kerron. Jill took a break from horses in 1998, to marry, and has a beautiful little girl.

Her passion for the hunter/jumper sport has brought her back. Quiet Rein is the fulfillment of her dream to teach others her love for the sport. Jill believes the basis of good equitation is in teaching the horse and the rider to work as a team. She believes in a Safe environment that is stimulated by having fun in a family.

Our values

Safety - We at Quiet Rein believe the first consideration in learning to ride your horse is to be able to move comfortably and safely around the horse. We love horses, but have to keep in mind that they are a large animal which requires respect.
You will learn how to maneuver around them, speaking to them in a way that will keep you safe while leading, grooming, tacking up, getting on and off, and riding.

Teamwork – We at Quiet Rein believe being an effective rider is not just about good equitation, but about working with your horse as a team. This is key to developing a relationship between horse and rider that allows you to communicate effectively and reach your personal goals.

Communication – Another important priority is to make sure both the rider and parent understand the learning process. We encourage parental involvement, and are always available to answer questions. We understand that this is new to a lot of parents. We believe in taking the time to make sure that you are never left with unanswered questions. We truly are a big family, and want everyone to feel welcome. All of our students are expected to support that feeling, which makes for a positive learning environment.
